Mindful Art
Ground yourself in a mindful art experience to reduce stress, burn out, feelings of overwhelm, and improve sleep. While many of us recognize the benefits of mindfulness it can sometimes feel daunting and uninteresting. Combining art with a mindful experience adds interest and direction while receiving all of the benefits. During this connect and create monthly session we will find our creative flow and we engage in mindful art, a practice that you will be able to repeat again at home on your own time. No art experience necessary, guidance and support are available as needed.
Ideal for adults.

Mindful Art
A Mandala offers space to represent a journey, message, or memory. Mindfulness is observing the present moment free of judgement while increasing self awareness and reducing stress. This workshop will begin with a quick overview of creating a mandala including the use of shapes, marks, and colour. You will then be invited create a mandala that holds personal connection though a mindful process. It will be a loosely guided experience with additional support and encouragement as needed. This is an opportunity to allow yourself to be fully present as you make marks and create something that holds meaning and beauty.

Creative Journalling
An art journal can be used in many different ways and you don’t need to be an artist or creative person to enjoy the process. This experience may be for you if you’d like to create time to focus on nurturing you, unwind at the end of a long day, or simply enjoy your creative flow. In this workshop we will complete a few mark making activities in our art journals and you will walk away with practical ideas on how you can continue to use your journal and have fun with the process.

It Begins With One Mark
Rather than having your tarot cards read try an expressive art experience and see what you may learn from your own work. During this workshop you will be offered prompts, guidance, and an environment that will take you through a creative process encouraging deeper insight and understanding in response to what you create. The mark making process is a key piece to your experience rather than planning for the final product.
