Shapes, Lines, and Colour Age 9-12
July 17-21, 2023 9:00am-12:00pm ($150/person), Mahone Bay Centre July 11-14, 2023 9:30am-12:30pm ($125/person), Petite Riviere Firehall Our world is open to endless possibilities when we have shapes, lines, and colours to play with. Have fun as we settle into creative activities that will have us learning about ourselves, discovering a new kind of play, connecting with others, and reaching for our dreams. During the week, we will express our amazing creative selves, play with a variety of art materials, make art journals, and more. The experience is about having fun with art in a way that can support our emotional wellness rather than developing art techniques to make something beautiful. Participants will build self confidence, independence, and creative problem-solving skills. |

Nature Creatives Age 9-12
August 14-18, 2023 9:00am-12:00pm ($150/person), Mahone Bay Centre This nature-based art camp is filled with creative activities that will connect us with the outdoors, explore our senses, and challenge our creative energy while using nature as our main canvas and starting point for creative exploration. We will be exploring our surroundings outdoors with a creative lens that will help us connect with ourselves and experience the ways in which art in nature can support our emotional health. During this fun and engaging camp, we will be using art as a wellness tool rather than developing art techniques to make something beautiful. Participants will build self confidence, creative problem-solving skills, and practice wellness activities to support emotional health. |
About Me: Engaging in creative play gets me excited about showing up as my best self, and helps me navigate difficult moments in life. I feel very connected to nature, this is what helps me stay grounded and connected to what is important to me. With over 15 years experience working with youth, I am passionate about creating opportunities where they feel validated and supported while overcoming challenges in life and in becoming the person they want to be.
I completed my training to became a Therapeutic Arts Masters Practitioner with training in Nature Based work through the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy and completed a degree in Child and Youth Care through the University of Victoria.
